Hi Windy, I have been watching these TOTP repeats since the BBC started repeating them four years ago from TOTP 1976. It has been very interesting to see the differing musical styles over these years with 1979 becoming the best ever year for sales of the Single It was a purple patch for the charts and indeed TOTP. I think the coverage has been great especially the beginning of the year documentary's" The Story of 19--" Thanks for posting this weeks run down of the show Windy It looks very good.

Strangely, I'm looking forward to seeing Liquid Gold make their TOTP debut with "Dance Yourself Dizzy" .... in the way that you look forward to seeing the dentist when you need a tooth extracted. 8D
Looks like a good edition with The Vapours, Elvis Costello, Michael Jackson, Peter Gabriel, SLF, and The Police on the bill. Normally there's not that number of bands that I'd like to see in the one show.

This has been the first episode like this since about November last year.

Its only appeal for me are the memories it conjures up of 1980. GH.

I do like some of the stuff to be honest but that track is a bit weak.

Haha Liquid Gold, commercial disco at its best I see what's wrong with the music industry today. You don't get enough drummers wearing only lime green satin shorts
