9 O'clock Windy. See if you can get a smudge of Mr Tripp's milk float on your travels - see what condition it's in after 50 years service

We were on a Unigate round when I were a kid (South London suburbs). Round the corner from us was the bottle-washing plant; as you walked passed you could hear the bottles rattling on the conveyor belt. It's all shoe-box sized houses now...
Remember that Sweeney ep (Bad Apple?) Regan: "Two sugars love, and top of the milk"!

My older brother used to get Hot Car magazine years ago and I've always remembered this issue that had the V8 engined "Pastyereyes Express":
It would get the round done a bit quicker.
Sam. Hey Sam, that looks interesting. How do you swap your mill ??? Love it!

I've not had milk delivered since I moved to London but there is a Dairy Crest depot (with electric floats) nearby by Wimbledon station so they may do rounds near my way. My mum/dad did have it delivered by Unigate up to the late 90's when they switched to buying it at the supermarket. The poor milkman used to be terrified by our dog too when he came round for the money on Friday afternoon's. LOL!

Perhaps living close to a rural area near the Welsh border, as I do, life/things move at a slower pace ...... Vienna We'd noticed that as you approach the bar when it's your round
Seriously, milk floats are a rare sight these days. Our next door neighbour has milk delivered, but in a custom built transit with an open back. I think supermarkets are mainly responsible for the decline, charging less than it was 30 years ago with the price big name price wars. The milky can't compete.
Gene.
Make sure Mr Mog get's you a milk stout mate.

I think you're right Gene. Milky's, and even more sadly the dairy farmers are really struggling to make a living. Personally, I'd gladly pay a reasonable extra amount, say 5p a pint if I thought it went directly to the dairy farmers. Just as long as they don't cream off any extra profit that will be ok Too true Del reckon the big Supermarkets would gladly bung the extra 5p on as window dressing and for a short time be seen to pay the farmers then eventually squeeze them again.

They can't pull the wool past your eyes can they Del?
Annie asked two of our local milkos if they could supply us with eight extra pints but both of them lacked eight to give us.
