They went a bit mad with the accessories on the police Jag!
"Tell you what, stick at least one of everything on it!"

Some more Rover P5 / P5B Saloon porn.... This is 'JGY 280', the P5B that is on display in the museum at Gaydon and is still the property of Her Maj.... The reg' number was originally on her earlier 3 litre P5 Saloon.... Another ministerial P5B shot in Downing Street, the car nearest the camera is one of the final batch built in 1973 but not registered until 1974, it's on an 'N' plate.... This P5B Coupe does look very well! From the tones of the b&w image it appears to be in the popular colour combo of Silver Birch over Admiralty Blue.... Villain

Think I prefer the P5 to the P6. Nice photos. You're not alone Essex, I do too and especially the two-door P5B. Sam.

Villain I doubt there would have been much room for luggage in the back of this machine...!! I thought the boot was full of radio equipment and various other gubbins in case of any emergency occuring!? There was some radio gear and an additional battery in the boot but there was still enough room for some luggage etc. Another batch of pics : Her Maj and Princess Anne with their 3 litre P5 Saloon.... In early 1967 The Monkees arrived in England for a tour and while he was here Michael Nesmith popped into Radford's showroom in Hammersmith to order a brand new modified Cooper S, at the time it was reported to be the most expensive Mini they'd ever done, he took delivery of it in July and did a photo shoot for the press at a hotel near Heathrow Airport before taking it home to the US.... In the above pic he is obviously being interviewed by the ITN film crew, I've looked online but so far have not found any of the footage, a shame as it would be nice to see it. As I said he took the car back to the US but apparently it was later stolen and never seen again.... Another shot of Tony Curtis's visit to the Aston Martin factory at Newport Pagnell in 1974.... Hank Marvin picking up his new 3 litre Rover P5 Saloon.... The Kings Road in the late '60s.... The Paris premier of 'Goldfinger' in 1964.... What looks like a jolly boy's outing is actually a group of engineers from the Rover factory in Solihull road testing a pre-production 3 litre P5 Coupe somewhere in Europe, the Coupe was designed alongside the Saloon (launched in 1958) but severe delays in perfecting the planned pillarless side windows in the doors held things back, the pillarless look was abandoned in favour of stainless steel frames and the car was eventually launched in 1962.... During the filming of 'The Persuaders' in 1970 Roger Moore was given use of a brand new Range Rover.... Another shot of the Beatles' Bentley taken in 1968.... In early 1967 John Lennon sent his black Rolls Royce Phantom 5 to JP Fallon's workshop in Surrey for a full on psychedelic makeover, it was returned to him in May, the first photo shows it outside Fallon's workshop on the day his chauffuer Les Anthony arrived to pick it up and the second one was taken near his home in Weighbridge soon after arrival.... This one was taken at on the same day with Ringo giving it the once over in John's driveway - John and Ringo lived almost next door to each other at the time.... And here it is disappearing down George's driveway in Esher a few months later.... Also seen at George's pad is the Radford Cooper S he bought for his wife Patti which I mentioned earlier.... Villain
