A trailer for the movie.
A reminder of No Time To Die's opening song. No Time To Die - Billie Eilish
To be fair to Billie, this Bond Movie theme tune job is a tough assignment. There have been 24 previous themes, most of which have been forgettable. Is there more than seven great tracks from the 25 films ? Probably not, I'll need to go through them all again to answer that. Anyway this one isn't awful but it's not a top score either. It's a minimalist wistful moany sounding theme much in the same style as Adele's Skyfall and Sam Smiths Spectre score. I'll give this 2/5

"Every mission has led to this" That seems reminiscent of Spectre too. Sam.

I'd struggle to give that tune more than 1/5 to be honest. I won't be watching the film either. I've not enjoyed any of Craigs Bond films. I don't mind CGI when it is used sparingly but it's far to extensively used in these films.
Perhaps now he's shredded his license to kill, he can play old man Steptoe if they remake that.
Gene.

Not going, not interested. To me the high point was The Spy who loved me, and it's been downhill really since.
I don't like Daniel Craig in the role at all. As for the themes, there's four I like
Live and Let Die by Wings Nobody does it better by Carly Simon - IMO the best one For your eyes only by Sheena Easton All time High Rita Coolidge

Piers Brosban wasn't bad, although the films weren't that memorable, just run of the mill action films.

I would agree with that. I like Brosnan but the direction of his films were OTT and the scripts were poor in relation to those films derived from the books.

I did like Casino Royale (the Craig one), the buiding site action scene was very good.
Spy Who Loved Me is the best with Goldfinger.

There was a very good programme on BBC4 last night at 9pm, Timeshift: 007 at the BBC.
Lots of interesting interviews and clips.
Even had Roger Moore playing Bond in 1964 in a skit on some US show I think.
Also Connery extolling the virtues of the script for Diamonds, really?
The weakest of his Bonds I thought.
Well worth a watch.

I will certainly be giving the latest Bond a go soon, I have no doubt it will be in cinemas for the next 18 months so it makes the most 'buck' as it were!!!
With regards to Bond films of today, I do agree that they have become a bit over the top (and then some)! They just seem to be a big, long advert for expensive watches, premium beers or luxurious sports cars et al.
Having said that I will always give them a watch as they aren't excruciatingly bad entertainment really! They just aren't the Bonds of yesteryear...
I think that the Bond films of the last 25 years have fallen victim to following trends rather than trying to create its own niche... During the late 1990's/early 2000's we had the likes of the 'XXX' films, the 'Transporter' films and the 'Fast and the Furious' films which soaked the silver screens in more action than both your eyes and brains could handle!! That's when the makers of Bond decided to latch on to that a little bit I think (and who can blame them??).
Today Bond sits right in the middle of films that all use CGI extensively, that all have intense action sequences galore and that all have so much going on it's hard to keep up! It is right for the times I suppose.
That does not excuse the fact that all the Bond songs of late have been complete an utter $h!t (to me anyhow)!!!
I would love to see Bond go back to basics, to not be drenched in the finest tailoring nor be seen to be driving the most obvious cars (both classic or modern) for a seemingly 'below the radar' spy but I just don't see that happening so I will just continue to be content that the Bond franchise is still with us.
I am sure people lost their minds when George Lazenby took over the 007 role in 1969 and were saying much the same that has been said about many Bond films in the recent past but it shows no signs of slowing down does it?! It just has to move with the times and tick all the boxes...
Long live 007 (whomever they may be)!
