Here's another Jag which could well be (cliche alert!) ''a lot of car for the money'', a 3.6 manual XJS, all the style of the classic XJS shape but without the worry of looking after a V12... a set of GKN 'Kent' alloys would finish it off nicely...

Although some people frown upon the 3.6 models it looks excellent for the money and would be a lot cheaper to service and maintain than a V12 .. not to mention fuel consumption

It certainly looks good, and the fact it’s a manual is fairly rare as I assume most were automatics.  A proper driver’s car to air another cliche!

And most of the period road tests of the 3.6 said it was just as quick as the V12 anyway, so win-win really.

At £10k this 1965 MkX Jag is the very definition of that old cliche ''a lot of car for the money'', although the seller's assertion that there are only fifty left is wide of the mark, as there are still plenty about. That red leather interior is wonderful, the only down side to these enormous old bruiser is needing a garage big enough to put it in...

Red interiors in XJs are relatively rare so this this late Series 2 Jag 4.2 auto in wedding car white looks good value at just under £11k...

At nearly £29k this 1975 Jag XJ Coupe certainly isn't cheap compared to the other cars I've posted but being a manual / overdrive example it is a very rare one, with probably only 2% of all the Coupe models being manuals, the condition, low mileage, optional GKN 'Kent' alloys and the fantastic period colour combo make it even more attractive...

Quite possibly Del, fingers crossed! I've just advertised the white Mk2 Cooper as well so if that goes I'm all in - the big NEC show is coming up in three weeks time and there's bound to be some decent old school Jags for sale there.
