The sills always were black on Mark 4/5 Cortinas, the bottom bit of the front wings should be too, to match the sill paintwork

I would say £10k at a push Yeah, there are so few of them of course so the price goes up. Looking at the pictures, there’s so much space in the engine bay, and it’s open at the bottom so must have got a lot of water and muck on the engine over time.

I had two Mark 5s and loved them both. I don't recollect getting much in the way of muck and water at the bottom end of the engine bay
