What are you watching this festive period ? I will be watching a lot of old favs that are on along with a smattering of new programmes.
Itv 3 always have a Carry On fest so I'll be watching one or two of those.
I'm also going to watch Escape To Victory(1982)on C5. For those who don't know it's a Football film based in a wartime POW camp. The cast included Michael Caine, Sylvester Stallone and football stars Bobby Moore and Pele amongst others.
If anyone spots anything interesting give us a shout in this thread👉

I can recommend Bedazzled on Talking Pictures at 10pm tonight featuring Peter Cook & Dudley Moore. I've got this on DVD, see the trailer here:
Followed by Hell Drivers, brilliant couple of films to round off Christmas Day.
By the way, did anyone watch The Likely Lads Christmas Special on BBC4 last night? Magic. Shown on the BBC again 43 years to the night since it was first shown.

I watched Carry On Don't Lose Your Head earlier on and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kenneth Williams was on top form in it
One of the best scenes was the one when Charles Hawtrey is being guillotined.
The mid sixties must have been one of the peak times for the Carry Ons. It's amazing that you can watch these films again and still enjoy them.
Charles.

Watched the 1973 Christmas Top Of The Pops, some of the WHTTLL episode, most of Carry On Behind & some of the film Tales From The Crypt from 1972 which features a homicidal Santa attacking Joan Collins. Just about to watch one of the Dad's Army Christmas episodes, 'My Brother And I', one of the best episodes with Arthur Lowe playing both Mainwaring & his black sheep brother.

Didn't venture much into the Christmas telly this year. Spent most of Christmas morning sorting out the lunch and then settled down and watch Top gear Patagonia special on dvd.
