I was watching star wars episode 2 in 3d with my lad a few years back in a near empty cinema. This couple come in and sit a few seats down from us in the same row and continually talk. After a few minutes of this I said to geezer do you mind? He said I am translating for her. I said the place is near empty go and do it away from us !!! They got up and left. Unreal that was.

I think it's funny how every New Year's Eve the news programs dash around the world showing the fireworks everywhere. We always see Sydney, New York, London etc. but honestly they look the same every year ! I like them but we wouldn't know if they repeated last year's footage with careful editing of the displayed year. Happy New Year everyone on the Retro forum !

I tried to add a pic to my New Year post but it told me "My time was up". Sounds ominous. So... or if this is more your poison... Or even this... Happy New Year one and all !

I felt that there's been bugger all worth watching on the box this Christmas and New Year, I got home from a very nostalgic and enjoyable family do in London last night and realised it was forty years ago to the day that the first episode of 'The Professionals' was shown, so I dug out the 'new' box set and watched a few episodes of that instead Villain PS : Happy New Year all!

I just noticed that The Likely Lads film is on ITV3 this afternoon at 2.35pm Happy New Year! The Saint I noticed that too but it is interrupted halfway with "FYI Daily", what's the point. Surely the "kids" who want their showbiz fix have already got from their social media accounts etc. Ruins the flow of the film. Glad I've got it on DVD
