They talk about films being 'forgotten', well they will be if the BBC & ITV never show them!

It is a great channel! I watch the Van Der Valks on Friday nights and will check out anything else of interest. Several films I've found and never knew about on there, and I saw that about Talking Pictures on the news last night too!

I've been watching T. P. pretty much since it first started, and I'm very happy to see it become so popular. The owner and his daughter thouroughly deserve their success. Thanks a lot for putting this up Windy. I'm annoyed at the BBC though, it's an utter disgrace that they have neglected so many British films of bygone years. I detest the organisation.
Charles.

They talk about films being 'forgotten', well they will be if the BBC & ITV never show them! They didn't seem to have a problem doing it years ago when they only had two channels! I fondly remember daytime TV usually after the lunchtime news used to have sitcom repeats old b/w films etc. It's how i saw things like Laurel & Hardy. The afternoon matinee used to be a regular BBC2 thing I seem to recall, although I don't think this format was an all year round thing for example during the summer BBC2 used to show a lot of Test Cricket and things like Wimbledon. Why on earth the big boys couldn't run a channel like TPTV considering the amount of rubbish they have had on their other digital over the years is beyond me. The likes of ITV3 and 4 are ok to a point the same with the BBC projects. Things like GOLD started with the BBC as a partner I believe. They all suffer from showing small catalogues with dreaded excessive advert breaks and worse still loads of cuts to the shows. I've been watching T. P. pretty much since it first started, and I'm very happy to see it become so popular. The owner and his daughter thouroughly deserve their success. Thanks a lot for putting this up Windy. Hope TPTV can gain more traction as they're doing a fine job.

I hope so too but he who pays the piper calls the tune, therefore to some extent, I hope they stay just as they are and don't get too big or bought out or sell out for additional advertising money etc. I'd put up with the dorma or egg cushion adverts if that means the status quo remains.

The problem is that those organisations think they know what we want to watch or dictate what we watch and as has been proven, that is not the case. They simply weren't interested in the programmes transmitted by TPTV. I hope that their success means they have a long hard look at themselves.
