Nice find. Some intelligent questions from the reporter too. When I was 14 I found myself sat opposite Alfred on a crowded train going down the WCML in Cumbria. I didn't recognise him at first has he had grown his hair shoulder length, presumably for some role. I didn't have the nerve to say hello. He was busy reading a newspaper so probably wouldn't have taken kindly to some kid bothering him. I need to set aside some time to revisit "Public Eye".

I look forward to Thursday nights on TPTV for "Public Eye".

That was a terrific clip Arthur. Thanks for putting it up. As I expected, the actual episode they were filming at the time was sadly wiped later on after it was broadcast.
Charles.

Many thanks for that Arthur, very interesting, and also note Timothy West playing the Police Sergeant, the episode was called "You can keep the medal" first shown July 30th 1966. Shame it was wiped.

I remember Reg Harcourt being on ATV local news. I believe he is still with us. Thanks for posting this clip, Arthur Vi

Interesting clip Arthur! I didn't realise that it was also filmed in Brummie land! I Must tell CG, I'm sure she'll be intrigued since it's her neck of the woods. I've been meaning to buy more of Public eye' it's a great series! at the mo I've got 71' 72-73 & 75. Just had a look on eBay and someone is selling the 72-73 box set for £150! Crazy stuff! Dunno why the individual boxsets are so much!

Must of been a limited run GC. Chancers then attach huge sums to them on eBay.
