I think a few jumped to the wrong conclusion with A2A S1. I think they found Alex a little annoying, which of course she still is For those who stuck with it though, they were rewarded with a fantastic triple series. A "Special" has been mooted for some time now. Ashley Pharoah has dropped a number of hints in recent months, and of course, I've given him plenty of encouragement along the way! Dean Andrews also showed interest so fingers crossed. Gene. Cheeky bugger! I deserve a medal for putting up with you lot all day, every day.
I have to admit, looking back, I must have seemed like a complete fruit cake in the early days ...
This special sounds very exciting! What has Ashley said ?

I Can't remember exactly Alex but he did moot in a tweet about a Christmas Special with Gene in The Railway Arms... Real men do NOT drink eggnog! I don't think Dean is averse to the idea either so it is a possibility...
Gene.

When I met him in 1973 he was a wine drinker but that didn't last long. He can mix it with the best of us now. Right Sam?

I’ve sometimes wondered what they’d have dressed me in in 1973! At least a suit never gets dated.

Well you would never have made DI in the 70's for a start so I imagine you'd be dressed like Annie. Or Phyllis.

Maya preferred a wine bar to a pub so I got out of the habit of a good beer with the lads and a single malt chaser. Thankfully Gene, Ray, and to a lesser degree Chris, took me back to my roots. I still find it funny the look Nelson gave me when I asked him for a Diet Coke! Sam.

Blimey, you have been spending a lot of time with Gene! I don't think you could go back to 2007 now, whether you wanted to or not! The look Nelson gave you on that occasion was much like the one you got when you 'invented' chicken and chips in a basket! That was the day that we discovered that the Gene Genie can't cook but can do an incredibly convincing impression of absolutely plastered!
