Gutted that Dan Ricciardo broke his wrist in a crash at the Dutch practice race. How the hell did that happen! It makes me wonder if he really is done as a driver in F1. He had just said to the media that he is happy to stay with Red Bull/Alpha Tauri the rest of his racing days and then he runs into a wall.
I would just like him to be able to finish the races with no DNFs and no crashes, just race and see where he finishes. Fingers crossed he is back for Singapore.
So it's Monza time so go Ferrari !

This isn't about the Singapore GP, though by the looks of qualifying it could be an interesting race.
I found this ytub vid of every grandstand view of the Australian Melbourne GP. I actually used it to help me pick a grandstand for next year. It was created one year ago so it includes recent changes. Next year I am going one day to the Brabham stand to see practice Friday.

I quite like the look of the two stands at turn 11. The whole track looks decent and up close to the action.

Rather than post the race results here's the highlights from the Singapore GP, my first race I attended in 2016 and fully recommended. I'll try and do a full review if (big if) I get time but at last the Red Bull stranglehold is over and glad Carlos Sainz got the win. Some of you may have never had said this up until fairly recently but I'm sure you'll all join me in a Forza Ferrari for once. Now bring the fight for the rest of the season teams instead of whinging about changing rules and who has the most advantage like we used to.

Singapore G.P It's not served up the best of races over the years but the new version of the track was definitely an improvement. The Ferrari's looked mega around here yesterday and Sainz deserved his victory. I think he's better than Leclerc at this point. Mercedes got their strategy bang on yesterday and it looked like they could take the W. Unfortunately for them, Norris was a tricky customer to deal with and stopped that outcome. Russell had a good weekend and it was a shame that he pushed it over the edge late on and crashed out. Red Bull struggled all weekend which was a surprise. No one saw that coming.
Looking forward to Suzuka.

Looking forward to Suzuka. Thoroughly deserved win for Sainz and yes I agree, he's better than Leclerc. Lando is a Champion of the future - provided he gets the car underneath him. I rate him very highly. So refreshing to have a podium without Red Bull. There was a genuinely happy atmosphere on the podium yesterday. For me, probably one of the best races since 2021. Bad news is that it's expected that RB will be back to normal from Suzuka onwards. Gene.

The Japanese F1 race is about to start. I have to say I am loving that it is in Japan because their current time difference to Melbourne is only 1 hour earlier so for once I am not sitting up at 11pm to see the start of a F1 race. It is very civilised to turn the tv on in the afternoon and watch a F1 race live. Have to add that I love how Tsunoda gets more media following him that Max Verstappen for once. Of course the interest and pressure is on drivers at their home country race.

Not a bad race despite Verstappen dominating again. Good to see the McLarens are genuinely in the mix again. What on earth was Perez doing ? he had a mare.

Apologies for not posting something sooner, a good result for McLaren they've come good this season and like the team, like the drivers.
