I've still a lot to discover as I hadn't noticed this thread until Sam made his last posting! If that's the case then there's also two other dedicated threads that you may also have missed: >>> Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen <<<>>> Freeez - IOU <<I'll add one I'm already aware of, Madness's Uncle Sam... The George & Mildred-esque street is Oakley Close, Hanwell, London SW7. A private road so is somewhere the Google streetview car has feared to tread. I remember the song well but can't remember ever seeing this particular video, I wonder if they did more than one video for it? Good spot though PP. Sam.

Now having watched the "Uncle Sam" video I can see that at 2:45 into the video the amphibious car is launched from Putney Embankment >>> Putney Embankment <<<English, not Uncle, Sam

Quick correction. W7, not SW7 for the Hanwell address. I'm not a cabby! Well, maybe Uber. Nice one on those two vids, Sam Didn't realise there was a vid for IOU, and would have assumed it would have been filmed in NY if there was one. Those two vid look like somewhere else I can have a bit of a walk around. Always looking for new routes.

Watching the Now 80s music channel last night this came on and Annie pointed out the location to me which I then recognised too: This is in Godalming alongside the River Wey looking back at the Phillips Memorial Cloister and The Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul. There's no street view level image available apart from some spot 360º views taken when an event was taking place on the lawns that have vans blocking the view but the satellite view is here: >>> Google Aerial View <<<Sam.

Here's another one that cropped up last night on one of the music channels: I must admit that the video was new to me (or maybe long forgotten) but recognised that it was filmed at Chiswick House in the gardens and conservatory. At 16 seconds in they are in the gardens. Despite the stone urn in the foreground all the stone statues etc set round in a semi-circle can be seen here >>> Google Streetview <<<At 36 seconds in when Ringo is sat on his jacksie they are in the conservatory. There's a lot less vegetation there now but here's the section of floor >>> Google Streetview <<<Sam.

Another video that cropped up last night with this one from Nik Kershaw: Looking at the architecture after the intro it appeared to be of similar style to other properties we've seen around Hammersmith and Westminster and I must admit that I didn't know the actual location until I looked up the "St. James Court" shown on the sign at the entrance door. Sure enough this is at 54 Buckingham Gate in Westminster. As it is filmed within the central courtyard of a hotel there is unfortunately no Streetview available to get closer to the door but this >>> Google 3D Aerial View <<< captures the various balconies, windows and entrance doors. Sam.
