Great pic Alex, thanks for posting. The E30 BMW (and corresponding E33 M3) was in my opinion by far the best style throughout all generations of the 3-series range. Seeing them takes me back to the classic BTCC races of the day when the two-door E30/E33 was up against the Sierra RS Cosworth. Whatever the race results, the BMW was the better looking of the two cars. Sam. The E30 BMW is a very nice looking car. The only 3 series I like better is the E90 Steed Each to their own Steed. A guy in work was telling me how crap his E90 is. I Wouldn't touch one of those....

I remember an article back in the day regarding the styling of the E90. There was controversy on its release when a Mercedes rival claimed it's boxy lines on the boot were akin to a drawing done on an Etch-a-sketch.

Its bold lines around the boot remind me of an 86 Skoda Estelle 130

The E26 was an amazing car and BMW tried to capture the success of this for the mainstream market with the E31. It never sold well and was quietly dropped.

Nice spot Alex, not too many of them around now. A mate had a black F reg 318i 4 door E30 BMW for a while which was repaired After a salvage yard purchase back in 1998. Ran nicely and was quiet. Nice styling too. Do also like its predecessor the E21 too. .
