Breaking news Lewis Hamilton'been handed a 5 place grid penalty for an unauthorised gearbox change. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/40535533Reckon he will be hoping Vettel/Ferrari have a shocker on quali and be I interesting if they both end up fairly close to each other on the grid - after their last outing in Baku.

Hamilton has certainly made up plenty of ground before. What happened to the gear box that it had to be changed ?

Not really sure the score with Lewis as only been able to follow this on the web BG. Could be a interesting twist in the title race especially as things are a bit tense (mildly) between him and Vettel. Here is the quali result look away if you don't want to know. m.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/40543212

A bit of a damp squib race in Austria. Apart from Kyviat's crazy start which took out Alonso and Verstappen pretty much as you were until the closing stages when both Bott as and Ricardo came under attack in the last few laps. Interestingly Bottas is playing himself into the title race if the top 2 have more scrappy races or tangle with each other he's right in there. Silverstone next bring it on!

Yeah it's a funny little circuit Austria. There a few corners that catch people out and the field is tight so it was surprising that there wasn't more action. Bring on Silverstone. Are we losing this race ?

Bring on Silverstone. Are we losing this race ? It's looking that way unfortunately. It will be a sad day if it does happen. Gene.

Yeah think sadly we are losing Silverstone. Can't really see a race around the Olympic park in London will have the same kudos as Silverstone and Brands as circuits and surely Liberty Media (sic) aren't chasing the $ that much to lose F1's heart & soul. With the Malaysian/KL race going this year, Singapore and Silverstone under serious threat and other historic races/circuits re-considering their options things aren't looking good in the post Ecclestone era.

Yes the Austrian GP lacked some excitement. Nice third Daniel. Come on Bottas, celebrate your win. Looking forward to Silverstone ! On in 1 minute !

A marvellous result for Lewis today and with what happened to Vettel, goes some way to equalling the score after what Vettel did 2 races ago. It has now fully ignited the Championship.
Excellent drive from Bottas but driver of the day must go to Daniel Ricciardo for his astounding overtakes on the way to 5th place.
Superb stuff from Verstappen again too. Absolutely unfazed by Vettel's attempts to pass - much to the delight of the crowd at the Stone.
Over to our man on the spot - Windy Miller.......

Another start to finish Hamilton win . Got a feeling that Ferrari will drop away now. Merc have certainly opened a performance gap.
