That Dolomite replacement looks like part Allegro/part Fiat and that green thing? No wonder BL went the way it did

Well spotted Gene- It's a one off 1973 Vanden Plas 2200 prototype. They also had a Wolsley. Yes there really is some wierd and wonderful motors there, but maybe that's what makes the place interesting.

It is a fantastic place. Thanks for posting these pictures Pete, especially the full picture of that 73 VDP. I have seen the Wolseley three before but not the VDP. Glad they dropped those side repeaters for production. They do it no favours at all.

I'm going to have to go back there for a proper viewing. I've been there four or five times now for slot car events - as I was all of last weekend, and not once have I had the chance to have a walk around.

Sam. It's always worth going back for a repeat visit Sam, especially now they've bought the Dr.Hull collection (about 580 vehicles in total), only a fraction of which is currently on display. Over time they're bound to shuffle things around so we get a chance to see them all eventually. Villain

I have to get to Gaydon at some juncture, it looks amazing! That VdP Wedge prototype is amazing and there is a little bit more info' here... www.leylandprincess.co.uk/VP.htmIt is a shame it never got produced but maybe it was a good thing as I doubt it would have lasted for too long much the same as the Wolseley.
