As it's that time of year I was wondering what everyone's fave crimbo song is? Mine is Stop the Cavalry. I don't consider it Christmas until I hear it :-)

It's Christmaaaaaas ...There's so many to choose from but I'll go for Slade's 1973 effort, Merry Christmas Everybody. The record captures the great glam rock sound of the early 70's with a fun xmas lyric. And what a great chorus to sing when p***ed

I wonder if anyone will choose "Mistletoe And Wine"?
For me it is a choice between Slade and Elton John's "Step Into Christmas" closely followed by Kirsty McColl and the Pogues, Jonah Lewie, and then Wham's "Last Christmas" based on the memories of the time.

Slade and Wham! for me. Both evoke memories of those two eras for me.

Probably the very first Christmas song. Sung in Latin so not played so much as not understood by folks of today
