Rare appearance of a Norton Commando, as the Triumph Bonneville was The Sweeney's usual default Motorcycle . Also an interesting Suzuki RV 125 monkey bike features. I never understood why the RV125 was called the "RV125 Van-Van" At the time of the original in the 70's it was generally referred to as a monkey bike but when Suzuki re-introduced the model in the early 2000's they retained the Van-Van name. Who would actually say that they ride a Van-Van? Sam.

I remember watching that episode on ITV and was sure that there were speedway bikes featured but they cut those scenes out. Got the box set and there it was Mildly related but slightly off topic, there was a TV series called "King Cinder" in the 70's that was based on speedway and featured Tony Caunter, Derek Clarke in "Queens Pawn".

It’s a great sequence I think, and another outing for White City stadium. I think it was an iconic venue (with regard to television/film use), maybe only second to Southall gasworks and the London docks as a charismatic venue. Talking pictures will be showing ‘Once a jolly swagman’ next month. A great speedway film filmed at the massive New Cross stadium in South London. Dirk Bogarde stars, during a period (1950s) where he was at his peak.

Not so sure Del think this one's more in line with Davey's predicament.

Haa ha, nice one DE. Colonel Abrams should have filmed his Trapped video on a run down South London Estate ..... I quite like the scene in May where the posho says of the estate agent. "Real Dirt, I decided not to pay"

Watching this now. Why would Cree virtually write off a Jag in that fashion? Doesn’t seem very realistic.
