I used to drink it in the early 90's Vienna, before I moved on to Bitter and Mild (don't drink much at all nowadays) I can't remember the exact price but it was 1 pound odd, probably 1.20 or something like that. It just seemed to disappear for some reason. Harp Irish was available as I remember but not the ordinary Harp.
Talking of drinking, one of my favourite lines in Night out is when Jack first goes to the Bar and asks for Iris, before he goes upstairs he asks the Landlord for a bottle of Scotch to which the landlord replies "she doesn't drink scotch" Jack replies "I do" It's the way he delivers it..brilliant.

I thought it was him Arthur. I hadn't heard of the others you mentioned so I did a bit of googling. Rocky Taylor, the oldest stuntman in britain, did a lot of work on Bond films and is the original Honey Monster. Terry Plummer has worked on a few things too by the looks of it. Was his Character in Night out, Don Sharples do you know Arthur ? He was also in the film Sexy Beast with Ray Winstone, another film I've seen a few times, not recently though. It's great to know about the stuntmen that worked on the Sweeney. Regarding the Beer, I don't think Jack was too impressed with how the landlord kept the beer in that pub lol.I used to drink Harp Lager years ago but it wasn't that cheap. It seems to have disappeared now. Thanks Arthur:thumbup: According to imdb Don Sharples is the name of his character in 'Nightmare' though I can't picture him. I get Plummer confused with Rocky Taylor, they look quite alike. Didn't know Rocky Taylor played the Honey Monster! Last time I saw him on tv was on an episode of Russell Howard's Good News, he did a fight scene with Howard, Howard broke his wrist doing it I think.

Just got through this one. A bit of an unusual episode I thought and not, in my opinion, one of the best. I thought the idea of having Jack in the flat while the bank raid was actually going on was a bit implausible.

I remember getting sick as a dog drinking Harp, followed by whisky, when a guy we worked with brought the stuff in with him the night we were breaking up for Christmas. ( Our employers were very lenient at the time.) I've never drank it since. I'm a better drinker these days though, I like Real Ale if the pubs serves it. Charles.

Harp... Stay sharp to the bottom of the glass.
You can still get Harp lager. It was a product from the Guinness company but has undergone a lot of production transitions over the years. Today it is brewed at the Dublin Brewery & Hydes Brewery in the UK as well as in Canada at the Guinness Moosehead Brewery in New Brunswick.

I reckon it was the whiskey Charles not the Harp lol.
It wasn't the best Lager in the world though to be honest.
I've been the same with red Wine after a works Christmas do back in 1991. We went to a Cantonese place and it was red hot in there and nothing to drink but red wine on the table. Prior to that I'd been swilling pints of Lager then after the meal more Lager until about 3 in the morning. Then in the Taxi on the way home sick everywhere. Didn't get up the following day for work I was so ill. Never touched red wine since and not too keen on Cantonese either.

The taxi driver can't have been too pleased with you mate. You have to be careful though, when drinking spirits or wine after a late Chinese. I've been bad like that myself years ago.
I like to have a bottle of red wine every now and then though. Chilean is nice. It doesn't pay to mix wine and spirits though.
Charles.

Well that was an unusual storyline. I didnt particularly like Iris’ character and I’m not sure even she would be daft enough to put a gun in the dishwasher.
The end with the shooting and the hospital scene was quite enjoyable, as was the old man shouting about the Old Bill and all that went with it, even if it is a little daft.
