There was a couple of "Bernie the Bolts" - John Baker, Harold Wibberly and another - they all worked in either the Props or Special FX Department at ATV. One of them was still working at Central in the 1990s.

Saturday Banana - I assumed was only restricted to the Southern TV region - it seems it was shown in a few more regions too.
Tiswas, by then was only shown in a handful of regions. I think that was fully networked in 1979.

I remember my family moving house on 2nd December 1978. I also recall there was snow on the ground at the time, a sign of things to come during that very cold winter, but I don't remember what was on the telly that particular Saturday. Vi
