Trevor Preston wrote several novels, I read one last week called 'The Judas Crew', written in 2000. It's an ok crime novel with Preston's typical dialogue, lots of slang & some familiar lines I've scanned that have been recycled from The Sweeney & Out. He even reuses familiar character's names, there's Pretty Billy, Danny Fitt, Venner, Tolman ( Frank, not Vic ) & even Jack Lynn, the
name of Peter Dean's character in 'Law And Order'.

They should have done a follow up a few years later called In where he ends up inside again!

They should have done a follow up a few years later called In where he ends up inside again! 3L  I think it'd be a case that ultimately either Ross or McGrath would have to chop each other so perhaps a follow up (reversed) more focused on McGrath's pursuit of Ross was maybe considered/in the works. I know a few here disagree I think Out's ending was left open for another series or follow up so something along these lines might have been the way they were going here. Regardless it's a bloody great serial and does in 6 episodes more than most things raved about these days do in 600 episodes. |

I think if I had my time again I like to be a character actor on TV, not a big film star, just someone who gets to be a range of great TV shows.
Oh well.
Probably end up as a quantity surveyor.
