It is a superb film. I saw it for the first time when it was first shown on BBC, I think, in late 76, and thought it was great. I would love to go on a GC meet too, especially as I've never been to Newcastle! We will be back up there before too long Carty. We have a 'Back On The Buses' Meet and a 'Life On Mars' Meet to get underway first though, but rest assured, a return to the Toon is high priority. You won't be disappointed, will he lads? Gene.

He definitely won’t be disappointed, the previous Newcastle meets were among the best ever and I am looking forward to when we can get back to Newcastle The Saint

I absolutely loved the City and the entire area from the minute I arrived there. Its incredible though, how the time has flown since we first went up there, it must be about four years now ?

"You couldn't win an egg and spoon race Eric." So many great lines. That's one of my favourites. Cartman you certainly won't be disappointed with a 4.3 trip to Newcastle. It's the best city in this country.

Carty, you can be sure that any meet you attend will be enjoyed from start to finish but the Newcastle meets and the Get Carter/AWP/WHTTLL locations have been superb. As advised before, the only regret you'll have is that you didn't attend a meet sooner. Sam.

I've just been sifting through some old photos and found a picture I took of the Get Carter Car Park back in 2010, shortly before is was demolished. This shows the entrance/exit ramp that we see in the film. Gene.

It's a fantastic piece of British film history that certainly has stood the test of time. I first was introduced to it in the 80s by my dad, It was the first dvd I bought in the 90s and I will definitely be watching it in the decades to come. I enjoyed looking at the locations on our meet and will definitely be up for going back to cover more. I hope the Central Pub has stocked back up on single malt after Sam drank them dry last time
