If a job's worth doing If it was a programme or film I wasn't likely to tape over I got the old Letraset out! Each letter carefully rubbed on. Pity I spelled Wiedersehen wrong Apparently I wasn't so particular about The Sweeney...

All but one ( Supersnout, taped off BBC2 'Cops On The Box' evening Bank Holiday Monday May 93 ) of the Sweeney's I have on tape are UK Gold recordings & our satellite reception wasn't all that, hence the biro.
One small but significant thing tv recordings of AWP have over the dvds is that the break bumpers ( 'End Of Part One', 'Part Two' ) are intact whereas they've been edited out on the dvds, often disturbing the nuance of a line or scene.

Its' been all over our local radio station this morning-a good few of the members from the AWP forum were here in Nottingham on a special 30th anniversary meet yesterday to mark the second series.A few of them were on being interviewed on Radio Nottingham.Good listening, and with AWP being such a fantastic programme, very much deserved. One of the locations visited was The Star Inn,it was stated that this is where Wayne and Barry take the two young girls for a drink ("There are better topics of conversation than German building sites,Barry").One of the crew was on giving her memories of the filming, she said those particular scenes were a nightmare to film as members of the general public were drinking in the pub at the time,so I would imagine that their filming etiquette wasn't so good!!By all accounts this member of the filming crew said it was one of the "worst nights' filming I ever had".There was also some AWP memories from members of the public who remember and saw bits of filming taking place, which is always interesting to hear.As an aside,a guy I work with (and I have known since our school days)actually appears on-screen in the episode where Oz and Wayne attempt to kidnap Rod.He was the goalkeeper for one of the football teams.

The land where the building site was constructed in AWP 1 was later transformed into the Albert Square set, so there is a connection.

30 years ago this week, Mr Arthur Tiger Pringle made his debut in AWP episode "A Law For The Rich". The world has never been the same since.
