I was watching Bullseye whilst reading the new comments on this thread & Jim Bowen announces 'From Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Pat Roach' ( he was throwing for charity ). He mentioned that they were due to start filming series 2 in March ( the Bullseye ep. was from Nov 1984 ). No other word for this coincidence but 'kismet' ( a preordained phenomenom that is incomprehensible to us mere mortals ).

This Sunday (21st February) at 9pm marks 30 years since series 2 was originally broadcast. I have recently finished watching series 1 and have gone straight into series 2, Return Of The Seven, brilliant Thanks for the heads up Steve. 30 years wow!

He seemed like a quiet & unassuming man, apparently he was particularly pally with Gary Holton outside the series. Funny that Neville gets all excited when he sees Moxey's dartboard then later in the series when they organise the darts team he's left out because he's 'never been any good at darts'

Regretfully, I have to post that Musician, Actor & comic Brendan Healy has passed away after a long battle with the dreaded bug at the numbing age of 59. Brendan had a small role in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet series one as "Andy", the Geordie who was "having a whip round for the driver" on the plane with Oz, mistakenly returning to Newcastle after the Sunderland Liege Game.
R.I.P Brendan.

That is sad news Gene, an accomplished musician too (formerly of Lindisfarne). Always sad to lose a fellow mackem, even if only an acting one. RIP Brendan.

Remember him of course from that memorable scene but don't know much more about him. There's some clips of him doing stand up comedy on youtube, he's very good. He looked a lot like Donald Sutherland. RIP Brendan.
