I remember seeing the odd episode when it was on TV but I found Dempsey a bit of an irritation. Not sure why I just couldn't take to him. Another similar series of the same time was Cats Eyes, also remembered for the topless Escorts. Cats Eyes started just a few weeks after Dempsey and Makepeace. There were always rumours circulating that it and other TVS stuff had been wiped as there has never been a DVD release. However, there are some episodes available on YouTube. Vi I remember the intro, seems a bit cheesy these days ! That’s a good quality clip there Vienna compared to some on there which are unwatchable.

The titles & theme music don't really grab you do they? I seem to remember the show being a bit jokey.

I'm sure I watched the series at the time, but I don't remember it very well. I'd also forgotten that Don Warrington had been in the show too. The Fashions and motors etc. made it all seem very mid-1980s. Vi

Yes Vi, I'd forgotten Don Warrington was in it also. I like him in Death in Paradise, he plays a good character.
You're right there Arthur the titles and theme music don't grab at all. Don't think I'll be bothering to watch much of it to be honest.
