It's worth a glimpse if only for the lovely Glynis Barber !

Tidy boiler!
Never really got into this. I was at the age when I'd either be out with me mates on a Saturday night or upstairs annoying my parents with my loud music when this was on.

True, I noticed her on Eastenders a few years ago and she was still gorgeous. That guy from the states, who married her, got a great catch.

We've got a forum member that watches Eastenders? How do you intend to repent your sins?
Surely her career is healthier than that? I thought stars only went to soaps as a precursor to retirement?

Actually Sam, I hate the soaps as much as anyone, but what can you do when your better half wants to watch it. I used to sit there reading, or on my laptop. Then even she stopped watching it for a few years, but lately she's started watching it again. I must say though that from the bits I've seen lately, it's improved a lot. I think that's down to Danny Dwyer and his screen family. About the only thing I really watch on BBC is the text news headlines and the weather reports, and I find myself resenting having to pay the license fee more and more these days. Anyway back to the lovely Glynis, a lot of top actors like her seem to do the occasional stint in the soaps these days. It annoys me though the money some of the regular soap actors make, while good actors are out of work.

I last saw this series about 12 years ago when it was on one of the cable TV channels. As others have said, worth watching for Miss Barber. Also worth watching for the early 80's feel, the motors and fashions, etc. I recall XR3i Escorts, facelift mark 2 Granadas and Rover SD1 motors in particular.
Must be worth a watch if you can get it on DVD for a reasonable price.
