Guys, why are there adverts for milk?? It doesn't appear to be attached to a brand?? Certain government quangos responsible for things like Milk,Eggs etc put adverts out in the 70s and 80s to promote the produce.

I don't think they make tv ads for meat any longer either. Any excuse to watch this sinister 1980's tv ad for pork starring the Auf W Pet copper

So odd for today’s standards. I don’t remember an advert just for something generic. Mind you, I’m not sure why anyone would take my opinion seriously; you all know I can’t watch Tele so how would I be able to pass comment on current adverts

There was even a number of Ads for British Beef. This didn't need a London Bus being slewed around a Skid Pan.
As for milk, we had different Dairies - "Unigate", "Co-Op" and "Northern" too.
This is a more recent advert from 1992, made by the National Dairy Council

That has got to be THE most bizarre advert ever. Puts me in mind of the butcher on The League of Gentlemen

That reminds me too, Crazy Milk - I remember kids drinking that in the early part of the decade - different flavoured shakes really.
And what about people wearing over large glasses with usually red coloured frames - notably Timmy Mallett!
Reg Holdsworth on coronation Street was another with those daft glasses.

Although of course we are more than happy to make an exception to you, a valued member of the team who makes thoughtful and intelligent comments. Even if you do wear a bra.

Although it may sound strange for a moggie to say this, I don't actually like the stuff much. Memories I have of being forced to drink milk at school in the 70s didn't help matters Vi You may just be the only cat with whom I can see eye to eye ... as long as you don't kill mice or birds Alex, I only do that when Rupert doesn't feed me
