In the sixties at school in Scotland they used be little third pint bottles of milk to drink at break . They used to warm them on the radiators to melt the ice in winter. Luke warm milk is not pleasant. Ice cold milk I like. I would have had to have tried to throw that away! Or find a kid who really liked it and wanted two. Though it has just made me question when I decided milk was vile, since I remember drinking warm milk from a bottle when I was tiny! No sure what changed! Although it may sound strange for a moggie to say this, I don't actually like the stuff much. Memories I have of being forced to drink milk at school in the 70s didn't help matters Vi

Heres the 80s advert (one of anyway)
One for the Guv here - is the Skidpan used in this the same one used in one of the "On the Buses" films?

It certainly is Sparkers. London Transport Training School & Skid Pan, Chiswick Works which was located at #566 Chiswick High Road. This was closed in 1989 & redeveloped in 2001 into Chiswick Business Park. Gene

I used to have Nesquik in years gone by, it's full of sugar though so not something I've had for years.
St. Ivel or some other company used to produce cartons of flavoured milk called 'Mississipi Mud' & another flavour whose name I can't remember. They were absolutely delicious but only seemed to be around for a short period some time in the late 80's.
Horchata or 'Tiger Milk' is very nice, it's ground Tiger nuts mixed with water, first tried it in Spain years ago. It's like a watery milk with a sweet nutty taste. Almond milk is good as well. Quite expensive though & like normal milk can upset your stomach.

That reminds me too, Crazy Milk - I remember kids drinking that in the early part of the decade - different flavoured shakes really.
And what about people wearing over large glasses with usually red coloured frames - notably Timmy Mallett!

This ad ties up both the above angles I remember the campaign but not this particular advert. This look mid 80s.
