The Army on the streets of Spain, what kind of uniform is this Look like bouncers at a gay nightclub. 'We've got the Italian Paratrooper in your size'. They're not going anywhere in those strides, mate.
Grief. Who's Hen Night are they booked for? For some reason, I can hear "Hot Stuff" playing.....
They've got nothing on Robert Carlyle and Hugo Speer mind.

On a tangent, slightly. Here's something we don't get. Not any more. White dog shit If it counts - I found white cat shit buried in the garden at the weekend. Amusingly, my eldest son said "I haven't seen that stuff since Life on Mars"
I was told by a reliable source that the reason you don't see such sights these days is because Pet food manufacturers used to put chalk in the food, to help break it down once digested. Aparently, they don't do this now. (so how this turn white then?)

I wouldn't have thought dog food manufacturers could get away with putting chalk in the food, certainly as a dog owner myself I'd have something to say about that.
My understanding was that in years past dogs had a more raw diet in that dogs were often fed with bones, something that people tend not to do these days. Nowadays dogs have dry food or tinned food and seldom get the opportunity for raw meat and a bone as a wild dog would naturally have.
Whilst we do feed our dog mainly with tinned food, we never give him the dry food (he doesn't like it anyway) and from time to time he'll have raw meat and a bone. When he's had a bone his logs turn whiter than they would usually be.
Sam.

A colleagues father owned a large Pet Food company in Lincolnshire - as I (in a pub, naturally) raised the same question - 'why don't you see white dog shit these days' - and that it was they told me.
Aparently, it was used in larger quantities, but these days is a very small. It's used as an Antacid - often under the name of Calcium Carbonate on the label, but in fact can be either Chalk, Limestone, Calcite or Arogonite.

Update: Despite the local post office being closed this morning ... I finally managed to pick up some bog roll from the nearby shop! It is obviously a new product to the Rigsby household, now you've just got to be taught how to use it. And don't forget to wash your paws afterwards whilst singing "Happy Birthday Mog-gee" Sam. Sam, you're absolutely right about this. It will be quite a challenge for a moggie at first, but I'm sure Miss Jones will be willing to help and show me how to use it Rupert usually just uses old newspaper - the tight old git! Vi

The irony is not lost on me that for the last 3 months there has been nothing but rain and now we're unable to go outside unless we are fortunate enough to have a garden, it's bloody summer out there. I've been working from home since Monday afternoon. I hate it. We had a video call for all 7 of us this morning and I miss them all so much already (as much as I'm aware that I normally spend my time wanting to ring their necks) . I'm typing away but I don't think it's quite the case that they're all doing it. And this is day 2 of at least 21 but I imagine many, many more because the morons can't behave and those of us who have complied from the start, as one of you said, will just end up being the ones on lock down for even longer. Grumpy Bolly today

Grumpy Bolly today Very true and this seems apt in relation to this weeks weather Gene. It would go nice now...

Grumpy Bolly today It is annoying, I keep doing bits on the back garden. By the time this lock down is over - it'll look like Kew!!!
Though, this weather isn't supposed to be lasting, as by Saturday/Sunday the BBC were reporting much colder weather and - wintery showers. Ironically, the clocks go forward this weekend to British Summer Time, and the weather is reporting Wintery showers.....
Mind you, the crap weather may put of these who are ignoring advice from the Government.
