Poor old Vettel's mistakes continue. This time he jumps the gun, fluffs his start and lets Bottas through.
I can't imagine what the post-race debrief is like!

Some interesting pre-race news Renault have been disqualified from the Japanese GP after a complaint from Racing Point that they'd been using an illegal brake-bias system (driver aid) with their cars.

They've got until 4pm today to lodge an appeal, be interesting if they do?

Bit of a prang from Bottas but he walks away.
Looks like something broke on the car and caused the crash.
Sleepless night for the mechanics!

Bit of a prang from Bottas but he walks away. Looks like something broke on the car and caused the crash. Sleepless night for the mechanics! Thankfully, he has been cleared by the medical team. The replays of the crash don't really show the speed involved on impact but it was enough to leave Bottas breathing very heavily. His shunt couldn't have come at a worse time for Hamilton & Vettel who were both on flyers at the time but had to back off in that final sector after getting double waved yellows. The only hope Lewis has tomorrow is that his tyres hold on better than on the Ferrari & Red Bull because the Merc is massively down on straight line speed in comparison. Great show from both McLaren drivers too. They really have shone this year. Gene.

Yes glad Bottas is all okay especially with the accidents in motorsports this year last thing we need as a bad or worse one in F1. Hope it's a good race and great stuff again from Norris and Sainz for McLaren too.
