Another Elton John song:
Yesterday I walked into the house while Annie had Radio 2 on the go, I can't remember who the presenter was but this abomination was playing:
I just couldn't believe my ears and just exclaimed "What the f**k is this s*!t?" to which Annie replied "I was thinking much the same but without the graphic detail".
How does this bloke even get considered as an artist?
Sam

How does this bloke even get considered as an artist? I've never really understood the appeal of Ed too. He's a competent enough musician but to dominate the charts so much over the last few years, it must be down to the media hype. And this version of Elton's song is bloke who does karaoke on a Friday and gets a turn because his brother runs the pub at best.

I caught an episode of the BBC comedy drama This is Going to Hurt today (which I thought was quite good), but heard this during one of the scenes. I thought it was a parody written for the episode but found it's actually real.

Just to add that in the same radio program on Radio 2 as mentioned above was this: I can't believe that Roland and Curt of Tears For Fears would have given this the thumbs up, it is absolute pants! Sam

Another one I don't like is Phil Collins version of the Supremes You can't hurry love. I like the Supremes original version, but I just don't like Collins somehow, I've never liked his rather high pitched, screamy, straining voice.
He's only ever done one I liked, In the air tonight.

I totally agree with your comments there, Sam! Vi

Vi I've no idea where or when it was recorded, I just heard it as I walked in and wished for it to stop. And stop it did when I hit the 'Up' button for the next saved station. Sam.
