I've just had a think back to a great summer again, the summer of '79 or rather late spring going in to summer. I was seventeen at the time with a brand new 250 Honda that I owned for only 4½ months before I part-ex'd it for my 550 Suzuki on the 1st August that year. Annie and I had also got engaged too so fond memories all round.
Here are just some of the music that I heard a lot throughout that period:

Some great stuff there Sam, with the exception of the Police, who I never liked! That period was great for me too, as I got my first motor at the end of May 79, my A40. Remember taking this girl, Elaine, who I was going out with at the time in it!

Great selection of tunes there Sam. I agree with Cartman in saying that the only tune that I am also not too bothered about is the one by The Police. The best one is the Ian Dury track! Steed

As its wet today, a bit of 1978 seems appropriate to listen to!
