Are those gullwing doors? Good spot Three, I reckon they are. Not sure what this motor is. The back looks very similar to a GT6 but I'm not sure what it is.

That car had me stumped too, but I suggest that it was a unique one off bodyshell, built on a Daimler SP 250 Dart chassis? I'm going by the wheeltrims..... (mainly used on the later cars, has the early ones had smaller hubcaps it seems). Would have been feasible as the original roadster body was glass fibre.
If you Google Daimler SP 250 Wheeltrims, compare what you see with the car in the photo. Not 100% sure, but many of the surviving SP250's have wire wheels.

Fibreglass kit cars were a bit of a thing in the 50s, they were usually sports type ones which you fitted to the chassis of a Ford or Morris 8 or an Austin 7. The performance would be slightly better as the low powered side valve engine now only had a lightweight plastic body to pull, rather than a bulky saloon.

Looks like the Unipower GT in places.

I spotted this lovely 1993 Mercedes SL 300 today, after years in the doldrums these motors are now becoming sought after. The Saint

They were controversial styling wise as they had a tough act to follow from the previous model. I like them

I liked them at the time, not so much now as I do prefer the previous model.
I remember the very first one I saw of them, I pulled up alongside it on the West Cromwell Road and was surprised to see Lord Patrick Lichfield at the wheel. Must have been mid '91 at a guess.
Sam.

That would have been an early one of those I think it was 1990 in this country. Got to say I prefer the R107 1971 - 1989 out of the two.
