I had to have a run down to Bournemouth today but it paid off after seeing a good selection of cars out for an early spring run.
I was driving so didn't manage to get any pics but in order of sighting:
N-reg Rover P6 2200SC in Harvest Gold (in need of a T-Cut) X-reg Escort mk3 1.3L in Rosso Red (surprisingly very tidy) H-reg Triumph TR6 in burgundy (soft top down, driver and passenger dressed for an Arctic expedition) M-reg Jaguar XJS in metallic green (looked tired) F-reg BMW E30 318 in silver (lower range model so plain but still quite tidy)

A nice spot is the Rover P6, a car I like a great deal. There’s two sorry looking ones near to where I live, under a tarpaulin awaiting restoration...apparently. What I have been looking into is to hire a P6 and combine it with a long weekend of exploring somewhere interesting. I can’t afford the car , so this is the next best thing.

This 1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II finished in Le Mans Blue was spotted by fellow member Get Carter a couple of weeks ago. Being an X registered example dates it to being one of the very last produced. Great spot GC The Saint

Saw an R regd MGB today at a garage, which had been backdated with chrome bumpers, as they changed to the black rubber ones at N regd. Looked good though

It certainly is a striking car. I don't remember seeing too many in that hue.

A sad sight to day, on the A538 road near Manchester airport, an E type which had been in a crash, being loaded onto a recovery truck. It didn't look like it was a total loss, but the bonnet/wings assembly was badly pushed in at one side.
A new part will be a costly repair

It certainly is a striking car. I don't remember seeing too many in that hue. It was quite a rare colour, makes a nice change from the usual 70s R-R shades of gold and browns. The Saint

After popping to the Post office this afternoon, I saw a lovely and obviously enthusiast owned S reg short wheelbase MK1 Ford Transit van, one of the last with the peaked headlamps. Grey with period sign writing, chrome hub caps and driven with the sliding drivers door open! A real throw back to the old days! Obviously restored, and seems so strange that they were a once common sight and yet so rarely seen now! RHD too and not a recent LHD import from Europe either.
