A sort of guilty pleasures thread, for the cinema. You know, films that are bad, but you just sort of like.
Here's a few of mine:
Dirty Dancing. Yep, said it! My wife loves it and watches it every time its on, I sort of like it a bit, mainly due to the great early 60s soul music tracks in it, and I also like the song Hungry Heart by Eric Carmen which was written for the film. Patrick Swayze couldn't act though, IMO
Godzilla, the 50s Japanese one, with the bloke in a rubber suit. So bad its good
Crocodile Dundee, both 1 and 2. Cheesy and predictable but enjoyable
Gone in 60 Seconds - the original 1974 version, directed by H B Halicki. Apparantly, a lot of the crashes in it were unintentional, but he just left them in
Anything directed by Ed Wood, a bit like Halicki, he sort of made the film up as he went along, and left stuff in that was wrong!
Smokey and The Bandit - only the first one though. 2 and 3 were crap
I am sure I'll think of more...

I'll admit to watching Chuck Norris films, not that I've watched one in over 20 years, I even watched a Steven Seagal film once- once was enough.
The Stud & its sequel The Bitch are both crap but I'd probably watch them if they were on tv.
Any film that features oversized animals running amok such as 'Night Of The Lepus' ( giant rabbits ) or 'Food Of The Gods' ( giant chickens, rats & others ). Joan Collins was in one of these- 'Empire Of The Ants'. Also killer vehicles- 'The Car', 'Killdozer'.
The Deathwish films fall into this category, in fact most of Michael Winner's films do.

Yes spot on with the Michael Winner films. Death Wish II was probably the one i'd still watch.

Yes spot on with the Michael Winner films. Death Wish II was probably the one i'd still watch. I actually like Death wish and Death wish 2. After 2 they weren't much good. Grease is ok for the obvious reason(s) mentioned earlier and Croc Dundee 1 and 2 were also ok I'll probably think of something really, really naff that I like sooner or later. Steed

I'd have to say any sci-fi with Doug McClure in it. Though the names of the films escape me, the special effects made Blakes Seven look like Star Wars :D
