Glad to hear it wasn't too bad. I never tire of the film myself.

A great series, I have seen the film a while ago and enjoyed it.
The theme music to the series is brilliant.
I wish they hadn't fallen out, would have nice to have an 80's follow on.

Ooh You Are Awful is well worth watching, very entertaining. The opening titles music is one of the holy grails of film music, people have tried to discover who performed it for years, the bassline is wild-

I suppose it was to be expected given tptv's track record on nudity that the bare bottoms in 'Ooh You Are Awful' would be censored. They put big star shapes over any shots of a bare bottom & there are a lot of bottoms in this film. If tptv continue to make a habit of this I can see them losing viewers, censoring PG rated films is nonsensical.

Star shapes? I hope they're not chocolate starfish shapes? That's ridiculous as it exaggerates the issue, far better if they feel the need to censor it to just mildly pixelate the arses.

Quite a few complaints about the stars on tptv's twitter-
Not having a dirty mind I hadn't thought of chocolate starfish. Disgusting
The joke of it is that they left intact the scene where Liza Goddard's bottom is wobbling about whilst she uses one of those vibrating slimming machine things. Ironically enough her character lives in a house called Thornley Manor.
The person responsible for the stars ought to be made to listen to this on a loop-

In addition, strange that they cut Derren Nesbitt saying he’s “a bit of a bastard” but left in the paper boy telling Dick Emery to ”p*** off”. I do wish they wouldn’t censor stuff like this when worse is said/shown on BBC, ITV, CH4 etc.

Yes it's odd that they didn't censor that, the paperboy was off screen as well so the edit wouldn't have been that noticeable.
The tptv daughter mentioned on the BBC feature that they have a lot of OAP viewers, maybe these cuts are partly about keeping things 'clean' for the more conservative old folk.
The responsibility ought to be with the viewer rather than the broadcaster, if you blindly watch anything without taking the trouble to find out what the film is about then you can't complain when you see or hear something that offends you.
