Another win for Hamilton in Bahrain puts him very much in control. It looks like it will be Lewis's year Kimi Raikkonen is rejuvenated, and so are the Ferrari team. Nico drove well but couldn't match Kimi on the day. Once again, a very competitive season, with many good races to look forward to.

Hamilton seems to be operating on a different level to everyone else this season. His self belief is incredible and he fully deserves to be where he is. Great to see Kimi back in the game. A fantastic drive from him. Sadly, we were robbed of the chance to see him overtake Vettel on track thanks to that mistake at the last corner and subsequent nose change. Another good performance from the young drivers too. They really are rising to the occasion. Looking forward to the European leg now Gene.

It was an enjoyable race much better than china. Hamilton is definitely the bench mark so far this season. Had a chat about F1 with some pals on Sunday and I found it interesting to learn that the Honda engine is running on much reduced power at the moment to try to improve reliability. Sunday's race saw them move forward a step

HOW THE 2016 F1 CALENDAR COULD LOOK April 3 - Australia (Albert Park) April 10 - China (Shanghai) April 24 - Bahrain (Sakhir) May 1 - Russia (Sochi) May 15 - Spain (Barcelona) May 29 - Monaco (Monte Carlo) June 12 - Canada (Montreal) June 26 - Britain (Silverstone) July 3 - Austria (Red Bull Ring) July 17 - Europe (Baku) July 31 - Germany (Hockenheim) August 7 - Hungary (Hungaroring) August 28 - Belgium (Spa) September 4 - Italy (Monza) September 18 - Singapore (Marina Bay) September 25 - Malaysia (Sepang) October 9 - Japan (Suzuka) October 23 - USA (Austin) October 30 - Mexico (Mexico City) November 13 - Brazil (Interlagos) November 27 - Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina) Late start to the season for 2016. Or there's an opportunity for a rich country with the ability to host a road race (Baku) to start the season if the money's right.

That new McLaren livery's alright if perhaps a little bit similar to a scheme Sauber had a few years back. Are West still one of their backers as there was no logic in keeping the silver livery if they're not and it's similarities to Mercedes these days.
Not sure if it Ill give them a rapid change of luck but... you never know.

Haven't you heard of Go-Faster stripes?
This is the same principle but with much lighter materials.

That new McLaren livery's alright if perhaps a little bit similar to a scheme Sauber had a few years back. Not sure if it Ill give them a rapid change of luck but... you never know. I think the short answer to that is no after yesterdays performance. The McLaren pit crew are extremely lucky they weren't crippled yesterday when Alonso's brakes failed on arriving at his pit box. A good win for Rosberg, which at least keeps a bit of interest in the title chase. I think Hamilton may well have won but for the botched first pit stop. He was considerably faster on race pace than Rosberg yesterday... again. Monaco next. Will we see a repeat of the outrageous Rosberg caper from last year when he brought qualifying to a premature end and prevented Hamilton from setting a quick lap time ? Gene.

The McLaren pit crew are extremely lucky they weren't crippled yesterday when Alonso's brakes failed on arriving at his pit box. Sebastian Grosjean was also taking it out on his pit crew. Yesterday was not a good day to be the front jack man. Jenson Button in a post race interview said McLaren may not score any points at all this season
