I am looking forward to watching this race - live on tv here but goes until 2.00am Aust. time! (I'd better go have a little nap if I'm going to last the race !) Anything could happen, there are no guarantees for Rosberg. There have been plenty of times when the Merc cars fail or hit each other ! P.S. I hope Dan Ricciardo wins this last race.

Let's hope it's a good clean and interesting race today. I'll go with Riccardo for the win too. Deserves it after missing out Monaco and Singapore.

Let's hope it's a good clean and interesting race today. .......... You got that right Dirty Epic. Talk about interesting ! Wow ! What a finish ! It was 2am here but I was wide awake sitting on the edge of my seat. Controversy. Hmm people on here may have very different views on the tactical driving of Lewis Hamilton. Clever driver. Gosh doesn't it raise some issues ! Sportmanship ? Gracious loser ? Team player ? I wonder what Toto Wolff really thinks about this action. No offence meant to any Hamilton fans but his actions made me feel very uneasy. Because it didn't sit right with me I am pleased his tactics didn't pay off and that Rosberg won the championship. (I sort of equate it to that incident in cricket years ago when Greg Chappell told his brother Trevor to bowl the ball along the ground so then the New Zealand batsman could definitely not hit a six and therefore Australia were guaranteed winning the match in 1981) That felt wrong and Hamilton purposely driving slow felt wrong too. One thing is for sure, everyone is talking about it.

They are indeed talking about it - to the extent where Mercedes are considering suspending Hamilton or even sacking him according to the press. While I think both are extremely unlikely, I can see Hamilton receiving a fine from the team.
That said, I have no problems whatsoever with what Lewis did yesterday. His actions put no one in any danger and it is his job to try and win the Championship for himself. It created no end of excitement during the latter stages. There is no doubt about the fact he was backing Rosberg into the rest of the pack, and no sign of Rosberg taking any risks to get around Lewis to get himself out of trouble. In a season where we've seen dubious tactics from a lot of drivers, I don't see what Hamilton did yesterday as anything different. Certainly not as dangerous as the defensive driving of Verstappen. Mercedes wanted the win and they got it. I don't think they had any right to interfere.
I know a lot won't agree with that though as Hamilton's popularity is not particularly high on here.
We haven't heard any repercussions about Red Bull doing exactly the same thing yesterday with Max backing Kimi into Daniel etc etc.
However, hats off to Nico who did just enough yesterday and in the past 4 races to take the title. He has been consistent throughout the year and it is that consistency, coupled with superior reliability that has earned him a well deserved first World title.
Farewell Jenson & Felipe. You've shown us some great racing over the years and you'll be very much missed in the future.
Already looking forward to 2017 with the new rules and regs, faster and louder cars with more tyre.
Gene.

Fair comments Gene. Personally I like Lewis and I am glad he said stuff it to the team (who already have the constructors championship) and fought for the title. Every single one of the other drivers would have done the same I'm sure, had they been in his position. Besides, as Batgirl said, it made for an exciting race in an otherwise dull procession. I won't miss Jenson or Felipe, neither of them has provided anything to shout about for a few years now. Jenson had a couple of good races (Canada in the wet springs to mind) and a fantastic car back in 2009. Felipe had a good year back in 2008 but I can't recall anything of note he has done since then. Whilst I'm at it (moaning that is ) I found all of the last race guff nauseating. That's all

Not watched the race yet. But knew the result etc. Yes Lewis is a bad sport and maybe should've been better in defeat. Hell even Schumacher was first to congratulate Hakkinen in 1998 when he lost out to him in a close battle. Still what could Lewis do to defend the WDC apart drive Nico off the track and arguable what would you do in that situation. Still I do think overall for the whole season Nico deserves it and is a worth champion no matter what has been said in the media. Also Lewis blew some chances he had in Baku and Singapore which maybe could've seen him closer to defending the WDC so perhaps when he looks back that's where he lost it as much as conspiracy theories like sabotage etc. Mercedes wont sack Lewis but they may remember this if he goes off the boil/loses his cool in future... there's plenty of new driving talent that could take his place too and sure Verstappen, Riccardo, Verhlin etc. and old timers like Alonso could interest them if he ramps up the bites the hand that feed him behaviour. Poltiics and rules aside still a pretty decent season this year and glad to be a part of it. Bring on 2017!

I'd like to see Hamilton really lose it , fall out with Mercedes then go to Ferrari. That would shake the field up a bit.
