Here’ we go with mine:
•
X-Factor/The Voice – Simon Cowell just do one! Also the muppets who like this mind numbing rubbish are so think they don’t know they’re being conned and exploited. 2015’s winner is already known as it always is – ‘X Factor is Killing Music’!
•
Strictly Come Dancing – banal rubbish banal guests ignore!
• Once daytime cookery shows like
Masterchef,
Bake Off etc. They should stay as fillers at 11am on BBC 2 on a Tuesday rather than primetime entertainment.
•
ANYTHING with Sue Perkins/Mel Giedroyc in it – THEY ARE TOTAL TALENTLESS, BORING, DIMWIT TALKING HEADS TOO!
•
Big Brother – don’t watch it but seen the Channel 5 trailers and definitely scraping the bottom of a worn out barrel here/put it out of it's misery!
•
Ross Kemp documentaries. This tosser enjoys the controversy (shit stirring) but offers no solutions to the problems in his ‘extreme world’ shows. Just don’t like him tbh!
• Channel 5 documentaries – exploitative crap usually!
• Any history documentaries with Lucy Worsely and/or Ruth Goodman in them – VERY IRRITATING!
•
Jeremy Kyle – never watched it NEVER WILL!
• Most stand up comedy from the likes of John Bishop, Alan Carr, Jimmy Carr, Sarah Millican, Michael McIntyre etc. can’t really see the appeal these
super-comics have and how the hell are they commanding the earnings they're getting beats me!
•
Dr Who – totally messed up since Russell T Davies got involved with it. Used to be a sci-fi show but seems more like a ‘period drama’ these days (see later).
•
Call the Midwife – ABSOLUTE SHITE! Yet more examples of the ‘period paradise’ which never existed and how we should all long for/revel in the ‘good old days’ (sic). They’re long gone and deluding everyone about a ‘good old days’ in shit drama like this is a total cop out. Also can’t stand the actors (sic) (Miranda Hart particularly) in this sugar coated tosh and how the hell this became popular I don’t know!
Miss Marple and
Foyles War etc. also fall into this category too!
•
Downton Abbey – one of the most contrived drama series EVER IMHO! Don’t know much about Julian Fellowes (sic) but from the impression I get of his ‘adaptation’ he’s one of those who’d love (revel) the ‘master and servant’ Britain and would love it to return! That dimwit actress Michelle Dockery also mentions men not being chivalrous any more well honey it’s the 21st century baby and IMO men & women and people generally should all equal these days (I know we’re not!). I refuse to watch this crap on principle!! Well in Saint!
•
Jane Austen/’Costume’ adaptation drama’s – absolutely HATE these with a passion. Can tell these stories in three seconds dozy hole bint meets rich dimwit and fall in love – THE END! Okay get this stuff has a following/fans but FFS there’s been a total overload (to the point of nausea) of these drama’s on British TV since the mid-1990’s. Conversely all the gritty contemporary drama which you used to see has near enough disappeared of British TV – maybe this period drama overload has an ulterior motive for all this?
• Unfunny American comedy… so many of them to list but they’re usually absolute tosh and usually have a female yank character with the mandatory ‘helium’ voice etc.
• Old show’s you like which get repeated to death… yes the likes of The Pro’s, The Sweeney, Fools and Horses, Open All Hours, Rising Damp, Fawlty Towers etc. are great but when Gold/BBC/ITV show them almost 24/7 you avoid them like a passion sometimes.
• Classic comedy I just don’t get like Dad’s Army, Morcambe and Wise, Two Ronnies etc. – don't as such hate them just don't really get em... maybe it’s just me?
Sure there’s plenty more but these are the ones I can think of at the moment.
