Great photo Gene, nice to see the period motors Judging by the bigger tyres, that P6 looks to be a V8. The Saint

Another snapshot of a moment in time as I work my way through the collection of slides. This time in Ramsgill in Nidderdale, Harrogate and a 1973 view of the Yorke Arms. A nice collection of period motors on view too. https://www.instagram.com/p/ClMWnrtoPed Gene. A pound to a penny the owner of the Tobacco Leaf P6 is called Gerald and he wears a trilby and Ronnie Kray style spectacles Villain

A very nice picturesque scene there and thanks Gene.
The Escort has a non standard pain scheme I'd say, as even if it was a performance model (and some did have the hubcaps - early Sports and RS1600's) they were normally the same colour all over as factory supplied. Maybe the owner did some weekend club racing or rallying, and the black paint in those specific areas on the body, was their idea for a bit of protection, or for easily repainting the many stone chips it may have received.

A little more time going through this collection of slides today. Another wonderful street scene from 1973. This time in Broadway, Cotswolds. Thankfully, little has changed except the cars in the passing of 50 years... https://www.instagram.com/p/ClO9ggKIThr Gene.

Wonderful pictures Gene, so evocative of days gone by.
Although there's a fair bit going on in those pictures they all seem so uncluttered with street furniture, a great time capsule.
Sam.

The sort of street scene that you wouldn't see today: https://www.instagram.com/p/ClRkNpsKf4q That's the sort of thing I would have loved to have witnessed at the time, as a kid I'd have been asking to join them on the footplate. Sam.

Wonderful scene there Sam. As with the photos I've been posting, I'm eternally grateful that someone had the forethought to keep a camera with them or those moments would be lost forever. That Moggy Van in the queue was almost new at the time! Thanks for posting Sam Gene.

There were a few locations like that in Trafford Park, Manchester, where the trains ran across and alongside roads. Great photo
