Doesn't the Spitfire look amazing. I doff my cap to RJ Mitchell's fine design.
Those Mercs don't look half bad either.

Sorry to correct you Del but the plane is a Hawker Hurricane mk.IIa which, like the Spitfire, is one of the three key planes (Spitfire, Lancaster, Hurricane) still flown as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The BBMF has two Hurricanes although they are the mk.IIc rather than the mk.IIa here. The full story of this particular plane is as follows: So a very interesting background to it, and good news that the pilot survived. Some very nice photos there Sam, looks like a great even, I like the DB4 Aston too and as Batgirl has said, the Lotus Cortinas. A great place Brooklands too!
