The annual Double Twelve Motorsport Festival returns on the 13th & 14th of June 2015, with a full weekend of motoring action.
Full details of the event can be found by clicking on this Linky Thingummy
It is a brilliant event that I go to for both days each year. There is a huge range of cars and bikes on display and taking part in the events. An ideal day (or two) for any petrol head and an ideal Father's Day outing on the Sunday.

Thanks for the update M'Lord I'll be along there as well, I love going to Brooklands and happy to find any excuse to go. My youngest daughter will be joining me as well as she's becoming a bit of a petrolhead too. Sam.

Well the weekend was a bit of a damp one for the Double Twelve but there were a reasonable number of people showed up and a decent selection of motors.
Here are a selection:
The last one looked as if there was a photo session going on so I snuck in and snapped this one while they weren't looking. Must say though, I've never seen an E-Type with what looks like a factory sunroof in it, anyone know if that is the case?
Sam.

Great pictures Sam That E-Type sunroof was probably added after the car was made, possibly by the supplying dealer. The Saint

Great selection of photos Sam. Some of those would make good squad cars ! Thanks for posting them here. Gene.

Did anyone else attend this year's Double Twelve at Brooklands last weekend? I went again on Father's Day and whilst there was a good atmosphere I was sorry to see that the event seems to be not so well attended as the years have gone by.
Gone were the huge numbers of cars attending and the continuous use of the test hill. The hill was only in use from time to time and then those taking part went around repeatedly.
Gone also were the traders that used to attend with now only four or five of the paddock bays occupied by traders instead of all paddock bays full and separate tents of traders lining the paddock area that there were only two years ago.
Perhaps the museum need somehow to reinvigorate the event because it is not the museum itself which is so well attended on other occasions as shown in Sam's thread on the New Year's Day gathering.

That's sad news Brett. It is an event I keep meaning to attend but somehow never get around to it. Looking again through Sam's great photos from last years event, it does look good so I'm surprised it's not better supported.
