On the "Albums" thing - would I be considered as cheating if I said I could sing (just about) all of the lyrics to "Now that what I call Music 1"? It is an album so I don't see why not. I can sing all the lyrics to "Return Of The Los Palmas Seven" by Madness, "Axel F" by Harold Faltermeyer, and "Magic Fly" by Space.... Sam.

When get a new album, I'll generally listen to it until I know all the words. I put it on a week later and I'm getting them wrong all over the place. I have been listening to The Beatles for well over 40 years, still get the odd word wrong but the thing is, I know them.
Most annoying.
Must get Oscar to give my circuits a once over, must be an intermittent connection somewhere.

Phew - and I thought you were going to question me over some of the more dubious tracks on "Now 1".....
I'm not bad with "Tocatta" by Sky, "Magic Fly" by Space and a couple of Shadows numbers!

Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" LP by The Beatles was the first album to have the lyrics printed on the album. Not sure they were needed since you could actually hear each word perfectly, but this was another first for the group. Some artists should consider this as it's almost impossible to understand a word they say.

And maybe the "Paul is Dead" thing would never have started.....

It's been said that Abba are one of those bands that people do remember when they were kids, and probably like me dissmissed them as a "Girly group", but it was not until the last 10-15 years, the same people have thought "Yeah.......they were good!"
Very true. I recall condemning them at every opportunity despite buying the Super Trouper album for Annie when it first came out. There are a lot of good quality tunes from them, some were over-hyped which I think was the main issue for me but one I do rate is: Sam. They were excellent at what they did and its great music at the lighter end of the spectrum, in fact arguably the best of that type. Doesn't stop me liking the likes of Bowie, The Stranglers etc as well. Although I doubt they form part of Lord Ems collection!
