Thanks in advance for the graft on the F1 thread for the year D.E. Last year started off a right old snooze fest but then delivered some of the best races I've ever seen. Looking forward to it.

Thanks Del, I will try and put together a pre season review for what might (likely) be a record breaking season but let's hope it is a all out fight between all the drivers too.

What are your favourite liveries for 2020 ? I always like to see the changes in design and colour etc. each year. I like the silver Mercedes (it is always so impressive looking, shiny metallic), pink Racing Point and McLaren. I think 7-10 will be a bit hard to tell apart sometimes on the track.

To be honest Batgirl, I don't think that there has been much difference between 2019 & 2020 liveries. I do like the Mercedes DAS system and like to see this side of development, let's see if it gets banned.

Mercedes are confident that DAS is well within the regs though.

I do wonder if the DAS system will wear the tyres out quicker or if this is the trade off for keeping them warm and grippy.

Some good points there. Personally and as much as I want their domination to end I think they should allow Mercedes to keep DAS for 2020 as it reminds me of when Brawn had the double diffuser in '09 and initially blew the field away with it but Red Bull caught up with them fast as the season went on in fact if they had the races they had now might have been a different story. I'd honestly sooner see all season testing allowed rather than these Barcelona sessions as it would close up the field and allow teams a bit more flexibility and be able to innovate a bit more than they have this last decade or so. Here's a few articles from the story so far at Barcelona too. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/formula1/51562639www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/51587920www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/51591600

The Toro Rosso becomes Scuderia Alpha Tauri Honda but looks similar to Williams colours of old. Some good looking liveries there and some are to be frank, a bit of a mess.

Have to say I prefer the Mercedes livery again this year. I am not a fan of the matt red paint on the Ferrari at all.
A laugh out loud moment as Vettel says Mercedes' new DAS system must be like "running in flip flops for the drivers" Maybe he'll laugh on the other side of his face if the DAS is anywhere near as effective as Brawn's double diffuser...
Gene.
