This was an ok race to watch even though there wasn't too much going on in the top 4. Ferrari looked safe for the win early on but Vettel didn't really look great again did he ? Has he got a long future with the red team ? Can't see it personally.
Gutted for Kimi as he was having a good weekend up to that point. I agree with the commentators in that it was a racing incident and the famous La Source causes more drivers to record a DNF.
Albon seemed to struggle initially but made a good fist of it in the second half of the race. He'll have to start further up the grid quickly if he's any chance of retaining the seat.
If Ferrari have this speed in the car will it be able to repeat the feat at Monza ? I doubt it because the Merc is the far better package on a race day.

They've actually done reasonably decent in Free Practice and Quali in most races but seem to slip back in the race. Haas seem to be kind of similar too so maybe it's a bit down to the design philosophy they've adopted this season. Also a fair few pitwall errors haven't helped the prancing horse this year either.

I feel that the Merc pace will improve immensely over the next sessions. The race will be a lot closer for sure. Hopefully Verstappen is competitive this weekend which will improve the race.

Verstappen's had an engine change so I'm afraid quali is game over for him Del. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/49579320Still reckon these penalties should hit the teams financially rather than the drivers weekend's who are passengers when that happens. Here's the FP2 results from Monza. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/49608985

Things look even closer this weekend so it promises to be an interesting race and I'm looking forward to it.
Let's take a moment though to say a prayer for Juan Manuel Correa who was involved in the tragic accident which killed Anthoine Hubert last weekend. Juan Manuel has now been transferred to a special unit in the UK as complications from his injuries and has caused him to suffer Acute Respiratory Failure. He is in an induced coma but stable.
Get well soon Manuel.
GH.

FP3 has been delayed due to a incident with the F3 race earlier hopefully this is nothing near as serious as Spa last weekend. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/formula1/49090010

Wow. The crash was Alex Peroni. Thankfully he is OK and no other cars were involved. It appears the car took off like a plane when it mounted a curb. Very disturbing and unusual accident. Thank heavens he is OK.

Holy moly!
That looks horrendous, must gone 15 feet up!
Could have easily come down on something that would have defeated the safety measures.
Think I'll stick to tiddly winks as a sport.
