An atrocious version of Marvin Gaye s brilliant i heard it on the grapevine was on the radio last week, by Gladys Knight and the pips. Gladys Knight did some great stuff, but this was terrible

Another atrocious cover was on today, Fine young cannibals ruining one of my favourite punk songs, The Buzzcocks Ever fallen in love with someone. The 1978 original is brilliant, this was awful.
I seem to think that they also ruined Elvis 's brilliant Suspicious minds

I seem to think that they also ruined Elvis 's brilliant Suspicious minds Got to totally agree with you Carty about The Buzzcocks although I don't mind FYC's cover of Suspicious Minds Steed

I seem to think that they also ruined Elvis 's brilliant Suspicious minds I think they just used it for album filler. Kudos to FYC for sticking their style/stamp on it, but I have to agree its not a patch on the original.

I heard another, IMO, lousy cover today, it was Proud Mary, but not the excellent Creedence Clearwater Revival version, it was a poor effort by Ike and Tina Turner. I was never a fan of hers personally, to me she was too shouty a vocalist.
