A lovely motor, but the bloke at the back could do with that bonnet belt more than the car.
Gene.

Great pic Templer!
I can just remember having a lift in an uncles XK150 in the mid 60s.
Wonder what that would be worth now?
He a V12 E type in the early 70's but it was downhill from there.
Personally, not travelling-wise.

Nice pic Saint, the start of a great long line of many Jaguar Masterpieces in the post war years!

Nice pic Saint, the start of a great long line of many Jaguar Masterpieces in the post war years! Yes, till the quality went off in the 70s.

A lovely motor, but the bloke at the back could do with that bonnet belt more than the car. Gene. It really is wearing a belt! One wonders why? It wasn't unusual to see the bonnets of cars fastened down with leather belts over the years. Some often had straps down the sides (depending on the model) but you would often see a race or rally car with leather straps over the front. Nowadays the competition cars have pins through the bonnet and clips to ensure that bonnets don't lift at speed. That really is a tasty XK120 and I like the two small screens in place of the standard split screen although I would prefer to see it shod with chrome spoked wheels rather than the black steel wheels. I'm not a fan of black wheels whatever the vintage so the chrome would finish it off nicely for me. Sam.

Another great spot by DI Alex Drake over the weekend. This 55 year old blue Triumph Herald was first registered on 11th September 1964. With just 31567 miles on the clock, it is still taxed until 1st April 2020. Thanks for sending over the photo Bolly Gene.
