Interesting again PP! The little black Toyota hatchback is a Starlet Glanza; quote from Wicky:
"The Starlet Glanza is the sports version of the P90 generation Starlet, and is the successor to the 80 series naturally aspirated Starlet 1.3 Gi and Starlet GT Turbo. The name "Glanza" comes from the German word "Glanz", which means "brilliancy" or "sparkle". The Glanza S was powered by the naturally aspirated 1331 cc 4E-FE and the Glanza V was powered by the turbocharged 1331 cc 4E-FTE. The 4E-FE used in the Glanza S generated 85 PS (63 kW; 84 hp) which, for the extremely light Starlet, was enough to propel the car from 0–100 km/h in 11.9 seconds. The turbo 4E-FTE used in the Glanza V generated 140 PS (103 kW; 138 hp) at 6400 rpm with a 0–100 km/h time of 8.2 seconds (factory brochure stats).
In December 1996, the Glanza S Limited was released. It has standard body kits same as Glanza V Turbo except the scooped-hood and the engine did not have a Turbo. A lightweight version of the Glanza V was also available without air conditioner and electric windows to keep the car as light as possible, being intended for competitive usage.
The Glanza S and Glanza V were only officially available on the Japanese market, although some used private imports made their way to the UK, New Zealand, and many other right-hand drive markets."

The "Blue blue, electric blue" Escort MK1 has probably had a transplant possibly a non Ford engine, popular swaps seem to be in recent years Zetecs, Duratecs or Vauxhall XE, so just may be something like that. Factory RS2000's didn't come along till 1973. So later than K reg.

Beetle and Mark 1 escort for me there. On Minis, Villain, the mark 2 version, 67-9, seemed to be more or less the same as the 1959-67 mark 1 version just with the later, slightly squared off grille? The next version, mark 3,was 69-76 and had internal door hinges and wind up windows instead of sliding ones. From memory, the next version was the same but with bigger rear lights. All still had the small 10 inch wheels.

Evening all. Thanks for the info on the black Jap number, Gerry. For some reason it caught my eye while going through the footage as it looked a little bit rare, and I actually quite liked it. Looked like the sort of thing you would buy in the early stages of the original Gran Turismo game when you've only got enough for a second hand motor and would invariably be a pokey little Jap number. Nice to know it wasn't actually an official UK sold model, and there's far less of them than the bloody Figaros about! Been building up the reserve collection, so I'll stick up a few days worth now. A couple from 8 June 2017... 1994 TVR Chimaera, Still on the road. 03 ref Vauxhall VX220. I don't see many of these about. Basically a reworking of the Lotus Elise. But with a little bit of lessened badge prestige. Probably why rarer. I think they look alright myself.

10 June 2017 The closest I managed to get to this Triumph Spitfire! I'm no slouch behind the wheel myself, but this feller was out to enjoy himself! I really don't care about motorbikes at all, but when presented with a modern day version of the old sidecar concept, its going in! Hard to imagine Olive or Mrs Butler sitting in that! The DVLA main page shows this is a 1973 Sparton, no MOT results and on a SORN. Going into MOT history shows Spatan Fox, MOT expired 25 May 18. No info on the net about this car I could find for either spelling.

11 June 2017 Another for the Mini collection. The DVLA has this as a 1996 Rover 1275cc. Still on the road. And back to proper 70s BL times for this Mini. It might not be apparent from the angle, and as no rear facing camera, you'll have to take my word for it that this is a 1976 Mini Clubman 1100. The MOT expired 7 Aug 19 and is on a SORN. 1969 Merc 280. Still on the road. Is this what they call the "Pagoda" model? Not sure if this is very rough pre-banger race or very formidable post-banger race detritus. If the latter, Stevie was very good! Mondeo estate I'm guessing? Lost in the haze D reg 911. Curse those reflections! 1997 TVR Cerbera on personalised E prefix plate. The Dav very much describes this as purple! Still on the road. 1985 Polo Classic. The saloon version of the Mk2 which replaced the previous Mk1 based Derby. This one very much in the twilight of its life (or at least road legal status) when captured, as the MOT expired 23 July 17, and tax expired 26 July 17. And keeping it 80s, a 1988 second gen Renault 5 1397cc. This one still on the road. And still keeping it 80s despite appearances, a 1981 Mini pickup. This one also still on the road. As it should be. Looked immaculate then. 1989 Golf (presumably) Mk2 cabrio. The MOT is still good for 29 Jan 20, but the tax expired 10 Jul 19. High time we had another Astra Mk3. Another one where the reg was very clear, but is not recorded on the DVLA for a current look up. 1988 Beemer 635 on a personalised N suffix plate. Still on the road. And to finish for today, another Golf (probably) Mk2 cabriolet.

Nice spots again PP! Yeah that is the so called Pagoda roof Mercedes, very collectible now. The Spartan is a kit car, that I believe used a Triumph Herald or Spitfire type chassis. If the record has gone for the MK3 Astra, it may be that it's no longer with us.

Count me in for the BMW 635, classic styling with what looks like a decent set of BBS alloys too, not the crap septic style of alloys.
Sam.
