Indeed it is. Also 76 is one of my favourite years. That and 77. They are my two favourite years of all time, see also retro charts! 😁 My two fave years for music...
1974 and 1980

Close call Sparky, my two favourite musical years were 1978 and 79, but 76 and 77 are my favourite years overall. There's very little in it mind from any of 1975 to 80, a great period

For me 1978-1980 was my most favourite... Love it when the repeats of "Top of the Pops" on BBC4 got to here!

The Isley Brothers did the original 'This Old Heart of Mine' back in 1966, although it didn't chart successfully until 1968, reaching No.3 in the UK Singles Chart. Rod Stewart covered it in 1975. It reached No.4. Then again, in 1989, Rod and Ronald Isley released another version, although it failed to make the Top 40 in the UK I like all three but slightly prefer the 1989 version VI

Rod did some great stuff up until the Do You Think I'm Sexy and Hot Legs nonsense.
The couple of albums before were good.

Yeah - "Sailing" and the "Georgy boy" one were great.
I loved the stuff he did with the Faces. The album "A nods as good as a wink" is great.
Also not too overly produced either, so what you hear on the album is pretty much what you would hear live too.
