No worries regards the Market either. The Bingham Market is held every Thursday, and the Bingham Farmers Market is on the 3rd Saturday of every month. So it should be clear this weekend Gene.

Just to underline the salient points for EVERYONE on Saturday. The Bingham Townhouse where we are staying is situated in Market Street, Bingham, NG13 8AB. The entrance to the hotel is in MARKET STREET. This is a one way street, so if you are parking at the hotel you will need to enter Market Street from the North. The car park entrance is then on your left almost at the junction of Long Acre. Enter by driving under the arch. This map shows how to approach the entrance. SATURDAY.
For those who want to join us for the Saturday Evening Mini-Meet, Please be ready and waiting in the Hotel Foyer at 5.30PM. We will be using the cars to take a short 10 minute drive to a nearby village where we will take in 3 AWP locations. - Sunny View Guest House (Where Barry & Neville enquire about accommodation)
- Barry Goes Brass Rubbing (Church EXTERIOR only)
- The Barley Mow
The Barley Mow has just been sold at auction, but there is a real chance that it will still be open and functioning as a pub this weekend. If so, we will be going in for a few jars.
We will then return to Bingham for the remainder of the evening and visiting a few nice pubs.
SUNDAY.
Everyone to meet in the Hotel Foyer at 8.45am and NO LATER THAN 9AM FOR A SHORT WALK TOUR OF LOCATIONS IN BINGHAM.
IF YOU ARE LATE, YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT AT THE HOTEL UNTIL WE RETURN FROM THE WALK AT 9.30am. IF YOU ARE STILL NOT THERE AT 9.30 YOU WILL MISS THE MEET. TIME IS CRITICAL SO WE CAN NOT WAIT BEYOND 9.30am.
Gene.

BREAKING NEWS.
As you are all aware, The Barley Mow has been under threat of closure for some time now. Only this week we found out that it has in fact been sold now, with its future far from certain.
Happily, I can tell you that it WILL be open for business on Saturday when we visit. It is also open for a few hours on Sunday but we are not due to visit on that day. Apparently though, Saturday night will be it's last night of trading before it is handed over to new owners. So, as we are going there on Saturday night, we have booked a table for all of us to have a meal at 6.30pm. Special thanks to Steve Austin who has placed the booking today for us. He has had to shell out £5 per person so we will need to reimburse him on Saturday.
This will make the evening even more special for us knowing we were there on what may well be the last night ever in this iconic location.
Gene.

That is excellent news that we shall be there for the last night of trading for the current owners - but fingers crossed that the new owners will be keeping it running when the contracts are exchanged. Thanks for the update Gene, and big thanks to the six million dollar man for organising the meal. Sam.
